The Dare to Lead™ program is designed for individuals and teams who are ready to embrace brave leadership, shed their armor, and show up with whole hearts in their work and life. Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to help everyone in your organization learn the skills, practices and tools needed to support brave leadership and build more courageous cultures.
In this 24 hour workshop we will learn about the four components of courage-building:
|
If you work in the nonprofit sector, or serve on the board of a nonprofit, then our program is for you. Brown's definition of a leader is: anyone who holds him or herself responsible or accountable for finding potential in people or processes. Brave leaders not only model the skill sets necessary for courage but create a culture that allows for innovation, growth, and creativity while constructively addressing challenges along the way. We are dedicated to bringing this work to the nonprofit sector, and particularly interested in working with agencies serving children and families.
"Leaders must invest a reasonable amount of time attending to fears and feelings or squander an unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behavior." - Brené Brown
The good news is that the skills for brave leadership can be learned and honed. Each skill we will learn is teachable, observable and measurable, but does require self-awareness. This workshop, based on 20 years of Dr. Brené Brown's research, 500,000 pieces of data, and exclusive videos, we will use to lead you through exercises to increase your self-awareness, build your courage skill sets, and allow you to take practical tools back to your teams.
The 24 hour Dare to Lead™ workshop gives you the time and space you need to explore and understand the concepts presented in Brené's research, while also providing a safe space to practice the tools needed for courageous leadership. In addition to receiving a certificate of completion, individuals who complete the 24-hour program may put the Dare to Lead™ Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.
Only Dare to Lead Certified™ Facilitators are approved to facilitate this workshop at the permission of Dr. Brené Brown and BBREG (Brené Brown Research and Education Group). Brené Brown will not be facilitating this session. Only certified facilitators are authorized to issue Dare to Lead™ Trained completion certificates and LinkedIn badges to individuals that successfully complete the full training.
