What is your digital marketing strategy? Do you have one?
Today the reality is, everything related to marketing is connected to the digital world. If your nonprofit has a printed brochure, it surely lists a website. That website is part of your “digital marketing” strategy. On that website, you have a newsroom for media relations. You also have a Twitter profile to connect with journalists. You also engage donors and stakeholders online, and they “like” you on Facebook. You invite them to sign up for your email newsletter. From there, they RSVP to an event. You send out a press release, but is it optimized with search terms to increase its online visibility? All communications vehicles have a digital component (or should). The internet makes it easier to scale your marketing efforts and reach way more people in your area, but with out a strategy with direction and goals you are just hanging out online like its 1995. |
